A good night sleep is bound to bring out the best in you. Studies have shown that your sleep patterns effects you not only physically but emotionally as well. In fact, when it comes to restoring your health and overall well-being, then you should know the that your sleep is the best thing for you.

Come to think of it, sleeping is very much a rather natural process. It is the best thing you can do for yourself. No matter how stressed or restless you are a good night sleep is all that you need. It is the very part of your life. Giving up on your sleep may seem to lead to innumerable harmful effects on your body.

No matter what happens never give up or skip your sleep for anything. Your body needs rest and you need to rejuvenate and replenish the fatigue of the day. So give it what it needs. Most of us assume that we know everything about the subject but clearly that's not the case.

In simple terms, a nap is basically a short period of sleep which can, in turn, help you to boost your alertness, memory, and even the creativity of a person.
More often than not lack of proper sleep tends to make your rather lazy and you tend to get cranky as well.
Many people believe that taking a quick nap during the day will not disrupt your night sleep. In fact, if you have that kind of time you should most definitely take a nap during the day. It will help your mind to stay calm and work more efficiently.
However, always remember that this nap should not be more than 30 minutes. If you take a nap that is a little longer than 30 minutes you tend to go into deep sleep. Thereby, you are woken up from a deep sound sleep that is cut short out of the blue leaving you feeling completely groggy.
What most people don't know is the fact that lack of sleep is known to have serious ramifications to your health and overall well-being. In fact, it leaves a rather bad impact on your short-term as well as long-term health.
What you don't know is the fact that watching TV or spending time with your phone once you get to bed will have a negative effect on your sleeping pattern. In fact, instead of helping you to unwind and sleep they do the opposite. In fact, it has been revealed that TV only stimulates and interferes with your sleep.

Patient care technicians provide basic patient care and assist nurses and doctors who depend on them as a valued part of the healthcare team. The Role of a Patient Care Technicians.

Patient care provide basic care to people in hospitals, acute and long term care facilities, hospices and home health settings. They help patients bath, eat, dress and brush their teeth. Patient care technicians work together with medical staff to ensure the needs of their patients are met.



Job Responsibilities.

A typical day of a patient care technician may begin with helping patients get up in the morning. The setting in which you work will have its own rhythm and schedules, so your routine may not be exactly like this but may very similar. As a patient care technician, you may help someone shower, dress and eat their breakfast. You may also help deliver and collect meal trays and assist nurses with orienting new patients.   • Turning or repositioning bed-bound patients
  • Changing linens and clothing

    The most basic requirement is compassion and a genuine desire to help people. Other skills you will use frequently are recording vital signs, updating patient charts, reading and following doctor’s instructions on a patient’s care plan (understanding medical terminology and anatomy), estimating percentages of patient meals consumed, listening to and communicating patient concerns to other medical staff, reasoning and critical thinking, following safety practices and procedures, using medical and diagnostic equipment and performing some routine office procedures.
